One of the most radical things I’ve seen over the last few months is the 2014 Hoka One One Clifton: it looks absolutely killer and I predict will make some “Best Of” lists when it debuts later this year. I’ve been waiting to post this photo until I saw some other posts about it and I have to agree with Running Warehouse Blog Post about the Clifton last month that this shoe is pretty exciting. This lightweight road shoe is set to retail at $130 which will put some serious heat on the competition with many max cushion offerings from other brands at that price or above.
This shoe is light! 7.9 oz with a 5 mm drop. It features Hoka’s newly designed RMAT cushioning and looks nice a springy. Speaking of looks, I think Hoka is stepping up their game in the design department with this shoe and others with a more minimalist color scheme and patterns. That coupled with the bright on-trend colors and visual breakpoints in the sole which make it less obtrusive could position the Clifton as THE shoe that brings Hoka into the mainstream. Keep your eyes peeled though because this bird’s “Time to Fly” won’t be until late Summer or Fall.
Luv the design! Colors are super modern!! Might have to purchase these! They would be my first pair of Hoka’s
